Review: Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss by VIP Andrea
After constantly reading about these being in Australia I was excited to see people were finding them in the US so I went on a mission to find one. SUCCESS! I found these at both my local Meijer and Walgreens for $3.99!
- Lips are instantly moisturised for up to 8 hours.
- Contains active care ingredients, such as shea butter and centella.
- Vitamin Complex delivering powerful anti-oxidants.
- SPF 20 for protection against harmful UV rays.
- After 4 weeks lips are deeply repaired, completely reborn. Guaranteed.
…This is what Maybelline claims. I admit, its moisturizing, not sure on the 8 hours part, I haven’t been able to test it, but it does moisturize. It’s in between a lip gloss and chap stick as far as consistency so I don’t think its too greasy. There’s SPF which is always a plus! The package says this stuff is clinical strength so we will see if it holds true.
This stuff comes in a lipstick type tube if you’re in the US and I think regular chapstick twist tubes everywhere else. Also, as far as I know, the US is the only country that has tinted versions of these balms. There’s 6 different ones.
- Cherry Me - red tinted
- Pink Punch - bright pink tinted
- Peach Kiss - nude tinted (appeared nude on me)
- Grape Vine - purple tinted
- Peppermint - no tint
- Quenched - no tint … no smell?
I got Peach Kiss because peaches are my favorite fruit and it does smell really good. At first it doesn’t seem to have a taste but then it has this awkward after taste in the back of your throat. It didn’t really do anything to my lips so I’d need a more tinted one to get color but that’s ok. I do recommend this balm at least if you’re a lip balm fanatic like me. I like it in the sense that I own it but it would not be my go to balm. I think maybe if I had the Cherry/Red one I’d like it more because the tint would be more useful, but I have a similar lip balm to that.
I definitely recommend this, but it is NOT favorite lip balm. It’s definitely moisturizing and smells yummy, but for the price and the fact that is has sort of an awkward taste I can think of my better balms. I’d probably say its in my top 3 though!
My all time favorite Lip Balm is Badger Balm
This balm also has a ridiculous amount of ingredients in it ………… like seriously ………. it kinda freaks me out a little.
