March 2013 Ipsy Bag!
I just got my March Ipsy subscription today, and although the contents look a little lackluster compared to previous bags, I am still very pleased and excited to use everything I got!
Ipsy (formally MyGlam) is a monthly beauty service that sends 4-5 beauty products (usually trial sized, sometimes full size) to your doorstep for $10 per month.  The value of the products you receive is always more than the subscription price, but the trick is that you never know what you’re going to get!
This month, I think that Ipsy assumed I’d be in some exotic location for spring vacation… the theme of the bag was “The Great Escape”  The bag itself was a nautical-themed blue and white bag with an anchor design.
The items that came in my Ipsy bag:
LA Fresh Travel-lite Makeup Remover Wipes (self explanatory)
Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist (spritz on your face to add moisture and to refresh your look throughout the day)
GlamRX Magnetic Fillable Palette (holds pans of eyeshadow by keeping them in place with magnets)
2 Yaby Eyeshadow Pans (small, meant to be put in the GlamRX palette)
Overall I think this is a very cool collection of products and definitely follows a good theme.  I think that I will find a use for all of these items!
You can sign up for next month’s bag on Ipsy.com

Have you ever subscribed to the BirchBox? I have only read good reviews on it and the price is awesome, but a friend of mine said she hated it and would never subscribe again. You opinions?
skyinneverland

I subscribed to BirchBox right after it first became popular, and only just recently unsubscribed because I wanted to be able to try out other subscription services with the budget I’d put aside.

People do either love it or hate it - the people who hate it are the ones who are expecting to get a box full of “free” makeup every month.  That’s not what BirchBox - or any other kind of “box” or “bag” service - is all about.  Monthly beauty subscriptions are designed to allow you to sample various beauty products that you otherwise might not pick up or hear about.  Yes, they are usually deluxe samples, and sometimes you might even get that full sized goody as well, but you can’t purchase the service believing that you’re signing up for six high end cosmetic products for only $10

So, I definitely recommend BirchBox for those of you who are cosmetic obsessed, because through the service you’ll probably fall in love with tons of new products.  I also really like GlossyBox and Ipsy!

Do you sign up for any monthly beauty boxes? If so, what ones?

Currently I’m subscribed to Glossybox, and I’ve just signed up for Ipsy!  I’ve had Birchbox in the past as well.

I have a Glossybox review coming up within the next day or two, and I’ll let you know what I think of Ipsy when I get my December box.
