fa11ingsl0wly asked: A dupe for the MAC lipstick in syrup?

image

MAC “Syrup” (Lustre) - $14

A couple similar lipsticks at a fraction of the cost are:

image

Revlon Superlustrous “Sassy Mauve” - $6

image

Maybelline ColorSensational “Make Me Pink” - $6

Both of these dupes have similar color and texture. Maybelline’s is a little thicker.

defcoyote asked: do you have a dupe for Lime Crime's Coquette lipstick? Its been sold out for ages and I'm tired of waiting!

Hi hon! Coquette is a really pale nude with very slight warm pink undertones. It is a gorgeous color, but there are a lot of other lipsticks that come very close.

image

image

Lime Crime “Coquette” - $16

image

ELF Essential Lipstick “Nostalgic” - $1

This is a very creamy lipstick that has good pigment but is not as opaque as Coquette. Still, the color is very similar. Cancel out the pigment of your lips with a bit of foundation before applying and it will look perfect!

image

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick “Soft Nude” - xx

This line of lipsticks has been *cry* discontinued this year, so you won’t be able to find it in stores, unless they have a clearance section or something. But you can still find it online on various sites… (allcosmeticswholesale.com, amazon & ebay) This is very similary to ELF’s Nostalgic lipstick in that it is creamier and just slightly less opaque than Coquette, but the color is very close!

image

MAC “Myth” - $14

I personally think that MAC “Myth” lipstick looks similar to Coquette. Both are very pale and opaque, and if you’re going to shell out the money anyway, you might as well get this MAC staple.

Hopefully this helps you! Waiting for colors to come in stock can be agonizing, I feel your pain. Good luck!

defineeyourlegacy asked: Can you please recommend a high end lilac lipstick and an inexpensive one ? Love your blog soo much!

Aw thank you!! <3 I can certainly recommend some for you!

First, I’ll go for high end. Usually when you go into these more luxury or even the cult makeup brands, you’ll find the “crazier” colors, like a true lilac, mint green, orange, etc. So these will be the most LILAC of the lilac lipsticks, if you catch my drift.

image

Lime Crime “D’Lilac” - $16 - If this is too pale of a lilac, try “Airborne Unicorn”, which is warmer and more purple.

image

MAC “Lavender Whip” - $15

And now for affordable options:

image

Revlon Superlustrous “Berry Haute” - $6

image

Covergirl Lip Perfection “Divine” - $6

image

NYX Round Lipstick “Castle” - $4

All of these lipsticks are different tones, so I’d look up swatches to see what you like best, or what fits your definition of “lilac”. Hope this helped!

njlovatic69 asked: Do you know a dupe for Riri Woo lipstick?

image

MAC Riri Woo, which was the first item to release under Rihanna’s upcoming MAC cosmetics releases, sold out within 3 hours on MAC’s website. Like all of MAC’s lipsticks, it cost $14.50, and will be re-released later this summer.

Riri Woo is almost exactly the same as Ruby Woo, which has TONS of dupes. My personal favorite, in quality, texture and color, is:

image

Revlon Matte “Really Red” - $6

Both have the same neutral-cool undertone and are the same shade of red. Riri/Ruby Woo are just slightly more opaque and a smidgen cooler. They also share the same satiny texture. Since Riri Woo is a “retro matte” it is a bit silkier than Ruby Woo, and very similar to Revlon’s version.

Other similar lippies:

 • Wet n Wild Stoplight Red
 • Rimmel Lasting Finish #111
 • NYX Electra (cream finish)

macherieinstagram asked: Know of any good dupes for MAC's Embrace Me? :)

image

MAC Embrace Me (limited edition) - $14 [photo]

I don’t actually have Embrace Me, but it looks very similar in color to:

image

Wet n Wild MegaLast “Don’t Blink Pink” - $2 (matte)

image

Covergirl Lip Perfection “Spellbound” - $6 (not matte)

Sorry I couldn’t give you any exacts! I wish that I’d gotten my hands on Embrace Me, I was too focused on trying to get Heroine and I missed out! :(

Dupe of the Day!
MAC 217 eyeshadow blending brush VS Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff brush
The MAC 217 is one of the most popular eye brushes in the world - the shape is perfect for blending out eyeshadows with minimal effort involved! It is a rounded, slightly fluffy eye brush with a ferrule that is pinched in flat at the base, creating a really unique shape. The MAC 217 costs $23
The Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff does all of the same things that it’s MAC dupe does! It’s expert shape and soft yet effective bristles create the perfect tool for blending. It even has the same white bristles and pinched ferrule. The only difference is that the CS brush’s bristles are slightly shorter than the MAC brush’s, making the whole brush a little more round. However it still performs the same! The Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff costs $5

cumberpeenqueen asked: Do you know of any inexpensive purple/plum colored lip sticks that go well with fair skin?

Certainly! All winter long I was obsessed with purple lipsticks of all shades, so I have a few ones I’m in love with. The only thing I would wonder was whether you were gong for a “vampy” look or something more subtle… the terms purple and plum can vary from person to person, so I wouldn’t be positive of the exact shade you want. I’ll give you a few various colors! Fortunately, purples look great on fair skin… all skin tones, really, but they are especially breathtaking on pale skin!

image

Covergirl Lip Perfection “Divine” - $6

Super creamy, opaque formula. Color is exactly the same as pictured… almost neon.

image

Maybelline Vivids “Brazen Berry” - $6

Very creamy formula, with buildable opacity. Color is very similar to MAC Heroine, just a bit more sheer.

image

Milani Color Statement “Violet Volt” - $6

This is a creamy, opaque violet shade with pink undertones and a small amount of duochrome-like shimmer. It is a near perfect dupe for MAC Violetta.

image

NYX Round Lipstick “Castle” - $5

This is an opaque, medium-toned lavender shade, that is very bright and creamy.

image

Wet n Wild MegaLast “Sugar Plum Fairy” - $2

(My personal all-time favorite) This is a very opaque, matte lipstick that’s a nearly perfect dupe for MAC Rebel. The color is a vibrant plum shade.

image

Revlon SuperLustrous “Berry Haute” - $6

This is a creamy, soft lipstick in a gorgeous medium pinky-purple shade.

image

Rimmel Kate Moss “04” - $6

This is an opaque, dark purple with an almost-matte finish. This is very vampy and cool-toned.

Hopefully you like my recommendations! There are many more purples out there, but these are ones that I use frequently and have lots of love for :)

ashabrie asked: Do you know a good dupe for MACs Russian Red?

Yes, I do!

image

MAC Russian Red - $14.50

True red color with a very neutral undertone (neither obviously blue based nor obviously yellow based). Suits all skin tones, and has a matte finish.

image

Wet n Wild MegaLast lipstick “Stoplight Red” - $2

Very opaque, smooth texture with a matte finish. Color is almost an exact match

image

Revlon Matte lipstick “Really Red” - $6

Matte, very similar texture to MAC’s. This color is also very neutral and flatters everyone!

image

NYX Matte lipstick “Pure Red” - $5

This is a very similar shade of red, with a more inky, natural feeling and highly pigmented texture. It also has a matte finish.

verdesebrancos asked: Do you know a dupe for macs heroine

I don’t have anything that I can say is a 100% dupe, but Maybelline Color Vivids “Brazen Berry” is very similar, just a different texture… it’s creamier and slightly less opaque. But if you’re in love with the color of Heroine, as I am, but missed out on the resale, Brazen Berry will certainly give you your color fix!

There are some other similar purple shades out there, but nothing is any closer than Brazen Berry!

lildorkiiex asked: what do you think is the best cream blush? can you give me a drugstore and highend option?

Hello! Sure thing! I’ve actually been using cream blush a lot recently, because my skin has dried out considerably. I actually have more drugstore favorites than high end ones, simply because I use these a lot more than the more expensive options I have in my collection.

image

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - $6

This is probably my favorite, out of all the cream blushes I’ve used, in the terms of value, color, consistency, and wear time. There are 12 shades to choose from, and the texture is very soft- a true cream consistency. You only need a small amount, and it blends effortlessly onto the skin, so it is practically foolproof. You can also layer it on for a more intense color. It lasts for most of the day and doesn’t get patchy or cling to any dry skin you may have. It also doesn’t look too shiny and doesn’t slide off of oily skin.

image

ELF Studio HD Blush - $3

These blushes I’ve talked about before… they are very vivid, highly pigmented liquid blushes in really convenient packaging. One pump is more than enough to get a very natural look. The color blends in easily and gives you a real punch of color - plus they are very affordable! There are five shades available.

image

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush - $11

I would say that even though this is an expensive item, for being “drugstore”, anyway, it is very good quality and is sure to please. It has the same, true creamy consistency as NYX Rouge, and the colors are bright and vibrant as the ELF HD blushes are. They provide a really subtle sheen that highlights your cheeks as well as adds color. The wear time is good as well, and they last about five hours before they begin to fade (on me, anyway.) However, there are only three shades.

image

MAC Cremeblend Blush - $21

This blush is very creamy and has really even, smooth color. It blends very easily onto the skin and is neither too sheer nor too vivid. It is very similar to the NYX option I mentioned, but the colors are more “natural” and not as bright.

image

Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Cream Blush - $26

Hey look, how similar to the ELF version, right? They have the same, convenient pump packaging. These blushes are very easily blended into the skin, and can be made sheer or layered to be very bright. The colors themselves are bright and very pigmented, but have a gel-like consistency that make them wearable and easy to use.

Hope this gives you a few options! :)

stablern asked: Looking for a similar dupe for MAC (Twig).

MAC’s Twig is a pretty hard lippie to find a dupe for (in fact, I’m not even sure you’re talking about the lipstick… you might be talking about the eyeshadow… oh well.) All of the dupes that are listed elsewhere on the internet have been discontinued or are impossible to find, but I think I have a very similar shade!

image

MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig - $15

image

NYX Round Lipstick in B52 - $5.50

You can find NYX at Ulta or online :)

detachedhuman-deactivated201310 asked: which foundation last longer mac studio fix fluid or maybelline fit me foundation?

Definitely MAC Studio Fix would last longer. Maybelline Fit Me isn’t a longwear foundation by any means, and will fade after a few hours. MAC Studio Fix is meant to stay in place and provide good coverage. :)

The difference between the two is that Maybelline’s is a more luminous foundation, whereas MAC SF has a matte finish. Maybelline’s also has less coverage.
