Hello! It sounds to me like whatever cleansers you’re using are too drying for your skin. They’re stripping your skin of it’s natural oils to the extreme, which is why your skin feels really dry at first, and then gets really oily throughout the day (your skin is compensating for its lack by producing more oil than necessary). This is a normal occurrence for most people, but it’s usually mild.. the fact that you’re noticing this issue is enough for me to recommend that you switch to a gentler cleanser!
This was happening to me about 4 months ago, so I stopped using my Clean and Clear cleanser that I’d been trying to use up, and switched to plain old Dove Beauty Bar, on someone’s recommendation and a whim. For me, it’s worked wonderfully, because it’s simple and doesn’t strip the oils from my skin.
Cetaphil and CeraVe are two other brands of cleansers that I like for your issue, but I’ve been using the Dove soap because it’s only .98 cents at Walmart and you just can’t beat that.

Dove Beauty Bar - $1-$3

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser - $8-$12
For moisturizers, pick an oil-free one to help balance out your confused skin. Oil free moisturizers will still hydrate the skin without adding any extra, unnecessary oils that your skin doesn’t need.

Kiss My Face Ultra Moisturizer Oil-Free - $5-8

Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture for Combo Skin - $8-10
Good luck!
EDIT:
I just realized that you asked for foundation, haha! Sorry about that.
Use foundation meant for oily/combination skin, like Revlon Colorstay or Maybelline Superstay - these will help control your oil throughout the day and stay in place! :)

Lately I’ve Been Obsessed With: GLOWY SKIN!

What’s not to love? Doesn’t everyone want skin that looks so fresh and flawless? That natural highlight, subtle catch of light, and the look of being bright and energetic… even if you’re totally faking it!
The idea of glowing skin is actually something that I’ve previously avoided, considering that my skin type varies between oily and oilier… my instincts have always been “matte matte matte!” But something has gotten into me.. perhaps my serious longing for springtime and warm weather (which still isn’t here in Upstate NY!)… and that gorgeous glow has been part of my makeup routine daily! Here’s a few tips, tricks, and products that I’ve been using and loving lately.

Strawberry Leg Scrub - Body Care

Mix 7-8 strawberries depending on their size with 2 table spoons of olive oil and a tea spoon of sea salt. Massage the mixture into your legs and feet then rise with luke warm water. Apply moisturizer and voila! Beautiful healthy looking legs and feet in time for those spring sandles and flip flops!
Fact: Strawberries contain alpha hydroxy acid which helps to get rid of dead skin cells along with the seeds for more exfoliation to reveal plump and glowing skin.

Determining Your Skin Type & How to Work With It, NOT Against It!
Knowing your skin type is VERY important, and knowing how to deal with your skin’s characteristics is even more important to staying healthy and looking your best for as long as possible! If you have problems with your skin that are making you self conscious or physically uncomfortable, changing the way you care for the largest organ in your body may make your life better in many ways!

You have oily skin? Then you are probably blotting and powdering often, maybe even several times a day. Your skin probably feels greasy and uncomfortable after an hour or two, and your makeup most likely doesn’t last the entire day. If you look up close in the mirror, you may often see large pores in your T-zone, maybe accompanied by blackheads and acne as well.
Skincare: You must set a strict skincare schedule for yourself. Use a gentle cleanser on your face when you wake up and before you go to bed, accompanied by a light, oil-free moisturizer. Yes, moisturizing oily skin is VERY important, because often your skin isn’t hydrated enough, for which it compensates by producing lots of extra oil.
Exfoliate once every other day to remove excess skin and unclog blocked pores. Using a clay mask 2-3 times a week will also help minimize the appearance of your pores and reduce excess shine.
Makeup: Longwear, oil absorbing products are your friend. If you have large pores, first apply a silicone-based primer to your skin, which will help smooth out your skins surface. Next, pick a longwear foundation that is oil-free and has a matte finish. Once your foundation and/or concealer has dried and settled in, finish off with a light dusting of a mattifying pressed powder.
To touch up throughout the day, blot first lightly with a tissue, and then add another dusting of powder to the area you have just blotted. It is important to blot first to keep the powder from oxidizing due to the oil on your skin.

You have dry skin? Your skin probably craves moisture, and shows this by getting flaky, tight, and cracked. You might experience sensitivity and your makeup probably accentuates the dry patches on your face, making you look scaly.
Skincare: You need a strict skincare routine. Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser morning and night, accompanied by a rich moisturizing cream. Exfoliate gently with a washcloth or light scrub to remove dead skin and dry patches. Use extra moisturizer after exfoliating to build up your skin’s hydration barrier.
Do not use products that contain alcohol, as this will dry out and irritate your skin further. Use oil to remove makeup at night, and for very dry skin, give yourself a “facial” 2-3 times a week, by slathering on moisturizer and then covering your face with a hot, moist towel for about 10 minutes.
Makeup: For you, luminizing and anti-aging products will be a lifesaver! Always moisturize beforehand, and once that has settled into your skin, apply a primer to help smooth over dry patches. Next, apply a liquid or cream foundation, and set this very lightly with a bit of powder for added coverage. Finish off with a makeup setting spray to help set your makeup and keep it in place all day.
Touch up by spritzing a setting spray on your face if you start feeling tight after a few hours.

You have combination skin? Your skin probably changes day by day! You most likely suffer an oily T-zone, with dry, flaky patches randomly on your skin. Some days your skin may be oilier than others, and some days you might see more dryness. Your makeup probably fades patchily throughout the day, and you may be unsure how to accommodate your various skin issues.
Skincare: Generally, you should follow the same routine suggested for those of you with oily skin. Wash your face when you wake up and before you go to bed, and use a light, oil-free moisturizer all over twice a day as well. Add a bit of extra moisturizer to the areas your skin tends to be more dry.
You should still be exfoliating gently once every other day to remove dead skin and unclog your pores. Use a clay mask only on the areas where you most often get oily 2-3 times a week.
Makeup: I recommend that you invest in two type of foundation - a longwear foundation with a matte finish for days you are more oily, and creamier foundation for days when you’re really combating those dry patches. Apply a moisturizer and primer beforehand, and then apply your foundation. Use a powder only over the areas you get most oily to help reduce and control shine.

You have normal skin? Your complexion is probably pretty even, and you don’t often experience much oiliness or dryness. Depending on the day, you may see a bit more shine than others, and sometimes you may get dry patches around your nose or near blemishes. You might have concerns with blackheads or redness.
Skincare: Even though you may not see immediate issues as people with oily, dry, or combo skin do, it is still important to have a strict, everyday routine for your skin. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser when you wake up and before you go to bed, making sure you remove all makeup. Apply a light, oil free moisturizer before you apply your makeup, and again at night if your skin is on the drier side.
Exfoliate gently once every other day to keep your pores clear, and use a mask 2-3 times a week to keep your complexion bright.
Makeup: Use a light liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone. Set this with a bit of pressed powder for added coverage and longevity.
Touch up by adding concealer and blotting away any shine if needed.
——————————————————————————————————
Now that you’ve figured out what type of skin you have, there are two additional skin categories that may or may not afflict you. Many people believe that “sensitive” or “acne prone” are skin types, but they are not by themselves - you might have dry, acne prone skin or combination, sensitive skin for instance. You might even have both acne prone and sensitive skin, or neither at all. Either way, there are special ways you must cope with sensitivity and acne, on top of what you do for your oily, combo, normal or dry characteristics.

Your skin is also sensitive? You probably are limited by what products you can use, because you might react to certain ingredients like fragrances or dyes. You might experience dry patches and redness, or you may even break out into bumps or rashes.
Skincare: Use the gentlest products you can find, keeping away from ingredients such as alcohol, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and perfumes. Otherwise, keep with the routine you set with your skins type.
Makeup: Stick to fragrance-free products designed for sensitive skin types. Make sure they are allergy-friendly, and always test new products on a small area of the skin before applying to your entire face.

You also have acne-prone skin? You’ve probably been battling continuous breakouts for some time now, from scattered whiteheads to stubborn, red bumps.
Skincare: The strictness of your skincare routine must be very firm, and you shouldn’t skip a day, ever. Keeping your skin moisturized and balanced is very important, and it is equally important to remove your makeup and any dirt or oil fully before you go to bed. Use treatments with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid only on the areas where you break out.
Makeup: You will typically need a full coverage foundation or concealer to completely hide redness. However, don’t wear foundation as often as possible, to allow your skin to breathe. Although makeup is not the only cause for breakouts, the less makeup you wear could significantly help reduce breakouts.
The more you know, the better your skin will look and feel! Remember that the state of your skin is a direct result of things happening inside your body. Keeping with a healthy diet, reducing your stress, and exercising regularly will help keep your skin glowing and clear (as well as keeping your whole body in check!)

| Hi there! I was wondering if you had any acne product recommendations for people who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide. I know that's pretty much the main ingredient that zaps them off fast but unfortunately I get a rash from it. :/ |
◥ |
|

Hello! Fortunately there are a couple of acne-fighting alternatives to benzoyl peroxide: sulfur and salicylic acid. Both are used to target acne causing bacteria and purify pores!
Salicylic acid is more common, and is found in *most* anti-acne products that don’t have benzoyl peroxide as an active ingredient. Is is an exfoliant (not like a scrub, but just an ingredient) that is also found in most pore-cleansing products. If you are allergic to aspirin, you will also be allergic to salicylic acid, so keep that in mind.

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
Sulfur absorbs oil and kills acne-causing bacteria. It isn’t as common in drugstore products (because it smells like sulfur, generally) but is found a lot in face masks!

Murad Acne Spot Treatment

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
If your skin is all-around sensitive, you probably don’t need to use cleansers or moisturizers that are designed specifically for acne. Sometimes, anti-acne products will actually be the cause of acne, because they irritate sensitive skin. You can always go the gentle route, picking “natural” or “gentle” products. As long as you stick to a set skincare routine (cleansing and moisturizing every morning and night) and drink a lot of water daily, your skin should improve, no matter the ingredients in your products!

Review: Yes To Grapefruit!

Meet the new additions to the Yes To.. family, Yes To Grapefruit! Keeping with Yes To..’s motto of using the natural benefits of fruits and vegetables to target skin issues, Yes To Grapefruit uses Vitamin C to correct skin tone by fading dark spots & acne marks, and brightening all over.
Yes To.. products are known for being “natural”, and the packaging on each item states that it is in fact a 99% Natural product. They are also all paraben free, and don’t contain any petroleum or SLS. These products aren’t fragrance free, but they do claim that all fragrances are 100% Natural.
The new products in the Grapefruit line:
Today I’ll be reviewing the Face Scrub, Eye Cream, Serum, Towelettes, and Body Creme!

Yes To Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub - $10
This is a gentle exfoliator that claims to make skin brighter, clearer, and more radiant. It is formulated with Lemon Balm to help calm and repair damaged skin and Grapefruit, which naturally evens skin tone and enhances luminosity, leaving skin soft, smooth, and naturally hydrated.
I was very surprised with the nature of this scrub, as it is unlike any other scrub I’ve used. It is clear and has a gel texture, with tiny exfoliating particles that are almost invisible. However they do a great job! They aren’t too harsh so they won’t damage your skin if you use it often, but you can also really feel them working - unlike so many scrubs that are too skimpy and don’t do much in terms of removing dead skin and smoothing out your complexion.

The packaging is very nice - a large squeeze tube, with a small, controlled opening that won’t let out too much product at once.
This scrub rinsed clean and didn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry! Instead my face felt clean and looked like it had a bit of a natural glow. It felt significantly more soft and any dry patches had been buffed away. It also smelled awesomely of - you guessed it - grapefruit!
I think that this is a scrub that you could definitely get away with using every day. Exfoliation is an important part of your skincare routine, especially if you are trying to get rid of any unsightly hyperpigmentation - you need to remove that dead skin in order to bring out new, clear, even skin! This did not make my skin more oily, but it also felt a bit moisturizing, because my skin didn’t feel dry afterwards as it does with many other scrubs.
This didn’t do a stellar job of removing makeup, but that isn’t the purpose of a scrub anyway. Otherwise, it is a great product that I have been using every day since I got it! Would I Recommend It? YES

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream - $16
This eye cream is a double-whammy, promising not only to lighten and brighten dark circles, but also to help prevent and fill in fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It is a lightweight moisturizer designed to be sensitive and gentle, while using lycopene, fruit acids, antioxidants and vitamin C to deliver all the benefits.
Fortunately, I personally don’t have any real issues with dark circles under my eyes - they are not so severe that I cannot cover them with concealer. So although I wasn’t expecting to see a dramatic difference (the product says to see full results within four weeks), I was overall very pleased with this product.
This cream was very moisturizing, and felt soothing on my skin. It was not greasy and did not leave any kind of film under my eyes. I used this underneath my makeup and it helped blend my concealer to create a flawless finish under the eyes! But most importantly I felt as though it really helped keep my undereye area firm and luminous - no dry skin to be found. After using this for two and a half weeks daily, I’d say that this did make a slight difference in brightening my minor dark circles, and kept my skin looking and feeling very smooth.
The packaging is a slender squeeze tube with a fine point. The cream itself is thick but blends in very easily - you don’t need to use a lot at all. It does have the grapefruit scent, but that smell fades quickly once applied, so it wasn’t noticeable throughout the day. Overall I’d say it’s a great eye cream from the drugstore, especially for those of you who don’t want to commit to full-on anti-aging products but still are focusing on the health of your skin. Would I Recommend It? YES

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Body Creme - $10
Finally, a dark spot corrector that’s not just for the face! This is a thick, rich body lotion that claims to visibly diminish dark marks on the body in about four weeks. This makes it perfect for those of you who have sun spots, or other marks on your chest, arms and legs that up until now you’ve been struggling to get rid of!
This is very moisturizing, and sinks right into your skin to instantly make it look smooth and nourished. The scent makes it perfect for use in the morning, because it wakes you right up and gives you a sunny outlook! (Unless you hate the smell of grapefruit, of course) I have been using this in place of my regular body lotion with no complaints - if anything this has made my skin even more soft and smooth. Even though I’ve only been using this for about two weeks, I’ve definitely noticed that my random chest-freckles have been lightening!

This isn’t designed for use on your face, because it is very thick and rich and better suits the rougher skin on the rest of your body. I think it is a great lotion and between my experience, and the reviews I’ve read, I’d say that it is quite efficient at correcting dark marks on the body. Would I Recommend It? YES

Yes To Grapefruit Brightening Facial Towelettes - $6
These sweet-smelling face wipes are designed for cleansing and exfoliating on the go! They are textured to help remove rough skin and infused with vitamin C to brighten your complexion. These are great for any time you are “on-the-go” and need a little oomph!
First of all, don’t use these on or near your eyes - they will remove your makeup, but in my experience they actually make the skin around your eyes sting and feel very raw. Whether this is from the “textured” surface of the wipe or the citrus extracts in it, I’m not sure, but if I - a person who doesn’t have remotely sensitive skin - have an issue with it, I’m sure that the rest of you will, too. On the rest of my face, I didn’t have any problem with them. Using them after going to the gym, or right after work before reapplying my makeup to go out, they’re great! But because of this issue, I think the possible uses of these wipes are limited. Would I Recommend It? MAYBE

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Serum - $20
This is a heavy duty dark spot corrector that uses Mulberry Fruit, White Tea and Grapefruit to help revitalize and lighten damaged skin. Like the other products in the line, this serum says to expect results within four weeks - not only lightened dark spots, but also firmer, brighter, and more moisturized skin overall.
Supposedly you are supposed to use this serum twice a day - once at night, and once in the morning, underneath your everyday moisturizer. I experienced a couple of issues with this routine, so I altered my use of this to once a day, at night, instead.
This DEFINITELY helped reduce acne marks and other dark spots I have on my face, in only the two weeks that I’ve been using it. It’s definitely a powerful product, but not too powerful (no irritation whatsoever from using it). The results I got are actually pretty surprising, and I’m definitely impressed by that aspect.

Unfortunately, the texture and other qualities of this serum weren’t so pleasant. This is a thick product that takes a while to settle into your skin, and does feel a little tacky until it dries. Once it dries, and you apply a moisturizer over top, it feels perfectly fine. However if you don’t apply a moisturizer afterwards, it doesn’t do well underneath makeup. After a few hours it will sort of peel up and mess up the look of your foundation, concealer, etc.
Another negative was the awful scent - unlike all of the other products in the line which smelled sweet and yummy, this smells like grapefruit that has gone a bit rancid. It is sour and not very pleasant, but fortunately the scent does fade after application.
So, what do I think overall? I love the skin benefits - it hydrates and makes my skin feel firm and nourished, and also helps fade dark marks very quickly and effectively. If you can get over the scent, I think that this is a great product to be used at nighttime. Would I Recommend It? MAYBE
These products are now available at most major retailers - anywhere that Yes To products are sold. You can also find them online directly from the YesToCarrots website or stores like Ulta.com

| Hi! I love your blog. I get all excited whenever you post something new. Question: I'm turning 29 in a few weeks, and that means the big 3-0 is just around the corner! I've heard it's time for me to start using an under-eye serum to prevent wrinkles. Any recommendations? |
◥ |
|
waters0fmarch |
Hello, thank you very much!
Actually, using under-eye moisturizers is a good practice for people of all ages, typically from your 20’s and up! Keeping the delicate skin around your eyes hydrated is key for preventing aging and looking luminous. You SHOULD be using an all-over facial moisturizer every day, but eye cream is additional, and as you get older, it becomes more important. But don’t worry! 30 is the new 20, haven’t you heard?!
You DON’T need to use an expensive cream or serum filled with wrinkle-fillers or skin-lifters (although there’s nothing wrong with using them). As long as you have a product that is rich and moisturizes well, you’re on your way to preventing premature aging of the skin. Hooray!
Inexpensive products that work great:

L’Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream

Garnier Nutrisse Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Eye Cream

Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum
Some tips and tricks for eye creams:
- Purchase eye cream from a store with a good return policy! Your eyes, and the skin surrounding them, are very sensitive, and may react negatively to certain ingredients. (I recommend Rite Aid or Ulta)
- Less is more.. in the morning. If you’re in the mood for a facial, don’t be afraid to slather some on, put a hot towel over your face, lay back and relax!
- Apply eye cream just before you put on your makeup, and your concealer will blend in like a dream!
Hope this helps you, and have a wonderful birthday! Measure each day, don’t focus on the years.

Hello Beauty Bloggers!
The Beauty Blog Directory is something that I created a year or so ago, which lists lots of Tumblr beauty blogs all in one place so they are easy for people to find! This is a great way to get exposure for your blog, as well as to find wonderful new blogs to enjoy.
The Directory is NOT some silly promotion - there are no “favorites”, contests, or any other mumbo-jumbo bullsh*t. This is simply a method through which the beauty blog community will be able to support one another and gain success through each other! All blogs are listed fairly and the Directory is designed to help visitors easily find the type of blog they are looking for.
::: THE BEAUTY BLOG DIRECTORY WILL ONLY FEATURE BLOGS THAT EXCLUSIVELY POST MAKEUP, HAIR, SKIN, or NAILS :::
If you are a beauty blog who would like to join the Directory, all you have to do is reblog this and write your blog’s URL at the bottom of the post. This will help me easily access, assess, and add your blog to the Directory.
Please note that the old Beauty Blog Directory has been taken down, due to so many new blogs being created and old blogs deleted. We’re starting fresh! SO IF YOU WERE A PART OF THE OLD DIRECTORY, YOU WILL HAVE TO ADD YOURSELF AGAIN
The Directory will be updated at the beginning of February!
| Is there a limit number of times to wash your face everyday? Like, I wash my face 4 times a day (with cleanser) Will that affect my skin to wrinkle faster or...? |
◥ |
|
todayisnotmybirthday |
Hello :)
Four times is a bit excessive - two times a day is ideal (once in the morning, and once before bed). The only additional time you’d really need to wash your face again is if you’ve just worked out, or been in an environment that would cause your face to get dirty or sweaty (after a trip to the beach, after working with greasy food, etc).
Overwashing your face is not good for your skin, because it can either dry out your skin and cause dry patches, or it will strip your skin of it’s natural oils, causing your skin to over produce oil and make your face extra shiny. Either way, you’re affecting your skin’s natural balance and health, especially if you’re using a cleanser each time.
If you’re just finding that your face gets oily throughout the day, try blotting papers. If your face just needs a bit of freshening up, try a facial spray that you can use whenever you feel the need.

Try a mattifying pressed powder to set your foundation with. There are tons of these on the market, and they generally do a very good job. Here are a few of my favorites:

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Loose powder will work as well, although it can be messier. I recommend this for setting foundation as well.

Coty Airspun Loose Powder

Benefit Matterial Girl
I would not recommend using powder as your only method of foundation, however, because oily skin tends to cause powder foundation to oxidize quickly (changing the color of your makeup and turning you orange!) If you don’t want a ton of coverage, apply a foundation primer beforehand and then follow up with powder.
Also, remember that even the best powders won’t always keep the shine away ALL day, especially when you’re quite active. If you are touching up throughout the day, make sure you blot off the excess oil FIRST, before you put your powder back on (do this with blotting papers or a tissue). If you apply powder directly onto oily skin, you’ll oxidize and become shiny again very quickly.

Hello!
Dark spots are never fun to have, and the process to fade them can take a bit of time, so you’ll have to be patient. Fortunately it is possible, and you don’t necessarily have to spend a ton of money.
Firstly, you have to take good care of your skin. Start including exfoliation into your everyday skincare routine, and make sure you use a moisturizer afterwards. Exfoliating regularly will help fade dark marks over time, as will hydration.

St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub - $4
There are also lots of treatments on the market these days designed for fading dark spots, acne marks, etc. Although you’re not going to see them immediately disappear, after a few weeks they do make a difference.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Fight & Fade Gel - $9

Ambi Fade Cream - $8

Garnier Dark Spot Corrector - $15

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector - $50
There are even some DIY treatments you could try, like Vitamin C or Vitamin E.
Hope this helps :)

Products from Paula’s Choice are also quite affordable, considering the high quality of all the products. When you order, you get free shipping on orders over $50, and you also get 3 free product samples. They have sales on various products or categories quite often as well (currently they are advertising 25% off all cleansers and toners!)
However one of the factors of PaulasChoice.com that stood out to me most was the fact that they not only provided information and advice on their own products, but also EVERY skincare product on the market! The BeautyPedia page allows you to search products by brand, type, and rating. You can also create a free account and write your own reviews on products, from Cetaphil to Clinique.
Overall, after the great customer service experience I had, as well as the easy to use and informative site, I will wholeheartedly back this company and continue to purchase products from them in the future. I recommend them all the way!

Paula’s Choice Resist BHA 9
Since this was my first experience with Paula’s Choice products, I chose to let a representative choose what she thought I would like best. I gave her my skin concerns (stubborn acne, combination skin with seasonal sensitivity) and she recommended this product for me.
Once I ordered this, I decided to do some research. BHA, or Beta Hydroxy Acid, is essentially salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a common anti-acne ingredient that works as an exfoliant to help free pores of debris as well as clear up and prevent blemishes. I also noticed that this product had a really high rate of positive reviews on various sites, which made me even more excited to try it!
The packaging of this product is very high quality. It is a slim tube with a removable cap (that actually stays closed!), and a nice pump dispenser. The product does come out rather fast but it does not give me more than I actually need, which is good. It looks very sleek and professional.
Paula’s Choice Resist BHA 9 “For Stubborn Imperfections” is a treatment designed to tackle all of your skin’s most common and infuriating issues all at once, without the need to use a variety of products. On PaulasChoice.com, they claim that this product WILL:
- Unclog pores from the first use
- Diminish white bumps
- Minimize enlarged pores
- Refine and smooth skin texture
- Minimize sebaceous hyperplasia
- Smooth dry, rough patches
- Help balance oily skin
- Fade red marks from breakouts
- Reduce breakouts
Doesn’t that sound great? I have battled with hormonal acne, and all of the wonderful treats that come with it, for most of my life, and have long searched for a product (or ten) that would do all of these things.
This is a clear serum that can be used on individual spots or on broad areas. After I washed my skin at night, I applied this to the majority of my face, and rubbed it in gently like I would a moisturizer. There is no scent or color to this product, and although it initially feels a bit greasy as it goes on, it settles into your skin and feels like you have nothing on.
After one use, ONE USE, I woke up to almost no redness on my skin - my current acne marks had begun to fade, my blemishes had shrunk or disappeared entirely, dry patches had become smooth, and the blackheads on my nose I’d seen the night before were almost completely undetectable.
After a week, I was sold. I can’t say that this has completely eliminated acne from my life, because my acne is triggered by things deeper than just the surface of my skin. I also can’t vouch for any effects it has on sebaceous hyperplasia, because I don’t have that. But otherwise? It does everything it claims to do. I am very pleased, and I recommend it for those of you who have stubborn acne.
Resist BHA 9 is available for $34.95 for .3oz on PaulasChoice.com
